In the Vikram samavat 1969, Kankuba of Ashlali organised Parayan of Satsangi Bhushan in Amdavad. During that period, Bapashri had come to Amdavad along with thirty-forty devotees after celebration fuldolotswa at Bhuj. The katha came to rest on the 9th day of Chaitra Sud. Bapashri came to Devpara on the 3rd day of Chaitra Vad after visiting Ranoda, from Dholka to Jetalpur, Ashlali, from Gamdi to Barejadi, and after visiting Baldevbhai’s mill to Saraspur, from there to Kadi. The Parayan was organised on 1st day of Chaitra Vad and came to rest on the 7th day of Chaitra Vad. On that day the ceremony of installing Idols was done and on the next day started for Kutch and on the way he visited Viramgam and Muli. He was accompanied by Swami Ishwarcharandasji, Swami Muktavallabhdasji and Ashabhai. They went to Bhuj on the day of Akshaytrutya. They stayed there for some days and on the day of Vaishakh Sud 11th they came to Vrushpur.
On the 12th day of Vaishakh Sud, Bapashri, showing his favour talked. He said, “Once Paravatbhai, Mayaram Bhatt and many satsangi went to Gadhada for the darshan of Shriji Maharaj.” There Paravatbhai prayed to Shriji Maharaj and said, “Oh Maharaj! Please arrange to send the biggest group of saints to Agatrai for the period of six months.” Then he went home. Shriji Maharaj asked Anadi Mukta Sadguru Gopalanand Swami to take the leadership and asked thirty Sadagurus including Santdasji, Vyapakanand Swami, Swarupanand Swami, Krupanand Swami, Gunatitanand Swami, Ramdasbhai, Atmanand Swami, etc to go with Sadguru Gopalanand Swami to Agatrai. At that time Ramdasbhai said, “Oh Maharaj! It will be better if you give the leadership of the group to any other great saint excepting Gopalanand Swami because he has become saint for the last twelve months only.” Shriji Maharaj said, “He is Anadi Maha Mukta dwelling in my Murti and greatest of all so Paravatbhai has requested to send him, hence I have given him the leadership. You all remain under his command but do not keep pride of seniority. Saying so he asked Santdasji to stay with Gopalanand Swami for six months but do not go elsewhere.” Thus all were asked to go to Agatrai. Then all went there. There Gopalanand Swami and Paravatbhai used to talk about the bliss and greatness of Shriji Maharaj. Hearing this all saints, devotees of surrounding villages were delighted. In the meantime, Meghjibhai, the son of Paravatbhai, desired to go for sixty eight tirth (places of pilgrimage) so he requested Parvatbhai that he wanted to go sixty eight tirth. Then Parvatbhai told him that sixty eight tirth daily come here in our compound to have darshan and to put the dust on their heads. Then Meghjibhai asked, “Why do people go to pilgrimage by spending a lot of money if tirths are coming here for taking the dust? You are saying so because you are required to give money for expenditure, but I want to go any how.” Then Paravatbhai gave him money as well tiffin and he started for tirths. Paravatbhai told Gopalanand Swami that son had gone on pilgrimage. Then Gopalanand Swami said, “Had you shown him tirth in your feet, he would not have gone. I will bring him back.” Saying so he started and went ahead of Meghji on the way. Meghji saw Swami walking about one and half feet above the earth and he also saw white luminescence sixty-eight tirth in his feet. Among some were touching his feet, some were putting dust on their heads, some were prostrating before him and some were praying. Seeing this Meghji asked, “There are white luminescence Murti under your feet-who may they be?” Swami replied, “Count them -how many are they?” Then he counted and they were sixty-eight. Then he said to Swami that they were sixty-eight. Then Swami said that they were sixty-eight tirtha. Then Meghji said that he was going on pilgrimage but now he will not. Saying so, he and Swami returned. On the way Swami said that tirth always remain in the feet of his father. Then Meghji said that he had never seen them. Swami said if he has asked, he would saw him. Swami went to his resting place and Meghjibhai came home and told Paravatbhai that Sadguru Shri Gopalanand Swami had shown him tirth in his feet and he also said that there were tirth in your feet, let me see them. Then Paravatbhai showed tirth in his feet.
On every evening Gopalanand Swami and saints, Paravatbhai and many devotees used to go to the well for taking bath. After having bath they would perform mental worship and would always talk about the greatness of Shriji Maharaj. Once a tree was very much pleased on hearing the talk and it started laughing. Then devotees sitting in the assembly asked, “Why does this tree shake without wind?” Paravatbhai said that the tree was laughing. Then devotees said that laughing is not the characteristic of the tree. Then Paravatbhai said to ask but no body would ask. Then Gopalanand Swami said, “When a pious person says something, it is true so ask by keeping faith. Then devotees asked and tree said that there was assembly of lord Purushottam sitting under my shade so it was its service. Moreover it got the knowledge by hearing the talk about the greatness of Shriji Maharaj and also had the darshan of such Muktas who are rare even for big incarnations, Brahmkoti and Aksharkoti. Therefore that was its last birth and would not need rebirth and would enjoy the happiness of Shriji Maharaj’s Murti as you are enjoying by sitting with you. So it was laughing. Such is the greatness of Muktas. During that period of six months Shri Gopalanand Swami and Paravatbhai did not allow ‘Kal‘ (God of death-yama) to enter the boundary of Agatrai. Then Kal prayed Shriji Maharaj and said that he was unable to go in the boundaries of Agatrai because when ever he went, he was burnt by Gopalanand Swami and Paravatbhai. What should he do about it? Shriji Maharaj said, “Do not go there. Your work will be done by them. When ever they desire you can go otherwise you will burnt to death.” During those six months all Jivas were taken to Shriji Maharaj by them. Then Shriji Maharaj wrote a letter to Gopalanand Swami asking him to go to other villages as six months had already passed. Then Gopalanand Swami along with his group started from Agatrai, they were going from village to village. On the way there was a well so they stopped there for bath. Eight Brahmins were already there before them. They started criticizing Shriji Maharaj and saints by seeing saints. In the meanwhile, they all had the attack of cholera. Then they began to praise by saying, Lord Swaminarayan Himself is the controller of the world. You are all saint-Muktas and independent and you are incarnated to liberate wretched Jiva like us. Therefore do not look at our mean deed and protect us with your power and greatness.” Then Swami replied, “We shall not protect mortal body but will protect your Jiva.” Saying so they were sent to Akshardham in a plane in the presence of all saints. Then all saints came to Shriji Maharaj at Gadhada and told Shriji Maharaj that Gopalanand Swami had not done well by sending eight Brahmins who were criticizing us to Akshardham. Then Shriji Maharaj said, “Shall we not be pleased if some satsangi arranges for meals and show hour hospitality to 100-200 guests who came to us at this time by taking them at his home without telling us? Otherwise we are required to recommend satsangi to arrange for all these.” Then saints said they would be very much pleased. Shriji Maharaj said, “I would have to ask some Mukta to liberate them but Gopalanamd Swami did that work without my asking- so it was well done?” Thus spoke Shriji Maharaj. || 121 ||
