On the day of Fagana Vad 14th, in the morning Bapasri met saints and devotees after completing his daily routine of rituals, etc. Swami Isvarcharanadasji said to Bapasri, “These devotees say that be pleased on them.” Bapasri said, “How much more do they want than this? We should see everything in divine feeling and reside in home? Which is that home? It is Murti. Bapasri showing his pleasure began talking. He said, “God’s devotee should examine his self. Sriji Maharaj made a boy of harijan caste say hundred times the word ‘soul’. But, when he was asked the boy replied that he was harijan- do not do thus. Forget the caste of harijan and remain happy by making own self, bright luminous divine and remaining engrossed with Murti. The one who makes the work of Prakrti false is ekantik. The one who installs God in his heart and sees Murti along with the assembly of muktas is param ekantik. When the fragrance of Murti unites him, he got attached to Murti by experiential knowledge so he became the form of Murti. Even then the relationship of giver-receiver of bliss, and the master-servant relationship does remain. param ekantik is attracted to Murti just as iron is attracted to magnet. The eagle flew and then stopped so Maharaj flew alone. The eagle was incapable because it had no experiential knowledge. We should not allow Maharaj fly alone but should learn to fly with Him. Then Bapasri asked a question, “Who is Mahant? He who remains in Murti and makes us know God. Jiva has five sensual objects which are obstacles and they should be recognised. Our sight and hearing senses (eye, ears, etc.), etc. should be joined with Lord’s Murti, otherwise it is the biggest drawback. A house in which there is no God is the residing place of snakes like, passion, anger, etc. Therefore, we should keep only Lord’s Murti and he who keeps that Murti is free from maya’s covering. Those who are called Sriji Maharaj’s devotees are supposed not to loose their prestige by having trivial faults. And by lowering the prestige we should not get our valuation made by others. Just as necklace of diamond and pearls is valued by chanothi (kind of plant). We should not have our love elsewhere as we have with Maharaj. What is the value of the packet of ash! But jiva is full of ignorance, it does not know, otherwise the joy which you find in God is no where else. This knowledge is vachyartha (in theory only). When it becomes laksyartha (practical or real) one will become happy. How? Giving up all sensual objects he would stick to God and great muktas. He would think that there is nothing in the body and in the world. When he does so, he will not get joy anywhere else, thinking that there is nothing elsewhere. We have got much benefit. We should not do the business of loss in this time. Be needy and get oneself fulfilled. Take care that no fault is found in God’s devotee or he is not betrayed. Passion is very bad. It will take one to yampuri (abode of God of death). We should think much about such talks. Have much fear of faults. This assembly is that of Aksardham. If we have adverse thoughts about it, what shall we gain? So much is being done at this time. Whatever one wants is there in this assembly. This saint, devotees are all Murti’s of Brahma, therefore, our feeling should not vary for anyone- try to be careful. There is all kind of happiness in Murti. There is no happiness anywhere without Murti. If happiness is believed to be elsewhere, it is ignorance. Without keeping Murti one will go to astray and he will have no direction.” Then looking at the saints Bapasri said, “You and I have to remain in equal state. You always dwell in Murti but for me having household duties, it is difficult. Alertness should be kept for both. If there is no alertness in saint there will be certain obstacles such as disciple, objects, sitting mat, worshipping kit, reputation, etc. For a householder (and in my case) money, children, farm, house and relatives are all obstacles. Therefore, to overcome those obstacles, keep Maharaj with us. That is a very powerful remedy. Therefore, Maharaj should not be forgotten even for a single moment. Today Maharaj and muktas make all happy. Just see! Where is such assembly? Such talk and divine assembly and such happiness is not anywhere else excepting at the house of Lord Swaminarayana- it is only in satsang. We should keep that constant immortal bridegroom. Bridegroom is Maharaj, and muktas are the members of bridegroom’s party. If bridegroom is not with us nobody will give us meal.”

Then Dalsukhbhai of village Kadi asked, “Bapa! In Vachanamrt Maharaj has said that those having pride are unable to continue. Is there any remedy to avoid pride?” Bapasri replied, “It is difficult to give up pride. The body, the mind, wealth and deeds of many births are to be given to God but one gives only deeds (karmas) and does not give the body, mind, and even the wealth. One gives only pebbles- who will take only pebbles? If they are with wheat, it is all right. Similarly, who will take only deeds? Even then Maharaj and muktas make the jiva very happy and make it avoid nature and put it in the bliss of Murti. There is much benefit in the present time. One gets mayik happiness from maya, so if he gets divine happiness from the divine Murti, where is doubt in it? If he does not keep the distance, happiness can be got. Maharaj and great muktas have come to give only happiness to the jiva. They do not have any other work but if one has pride, muktas will not be pleased. ‘Mohanvarne man sangathe ver’ (God has enmity with pride). Pride has such attribute that all means are spoiled in no time and it takes one far away from this assembly. Until you are under the control of three attributes happiness will not come. Therefore, everyone should insist to take divine happiness. Great muktas are such that they give such happiness immediately. Thereafter one will not believe that there is happiness anywhere except in the bright luminescent Murti of Maharaj. That happiness is supernatural, beyond words. In that Murti, there is only happiness and it is known only to the one who has experienced to appreciate.” || 98 ||
