On the evening of Aso Vad 12th, the 2nd Vachanamrt of Gadhada Last Chapter was being read. Purani Kesavpriyadasji asked Bapasri, “What are the characteristics of a sadhu?” Bapasri was pleased and said, “The one who has achieved the state of ekantik through efforts, has constant memory of Sriji Maharaj, and has no love for anything excepting Maharaj; but who still behaves as the body through which he has performed the spiritual efforts is called a sadhu. In the 8th Vachanamrt of Gadhada Last Chapter characteristics of a great saint have been described. The one who has such characteristics is called a sadhu, even if the actions of his body may appear like those of other ordinary people. Maharaj and muktas are called without bodily feelings. Their activities like drinking, eating, etc. are like other ordinay people. Though they eat, they are observing fast. Similarly, though they do all activities they are non-doer. This is the way of great muktas.” Bapasri further said, “Once I had gone to the house of Bhimjibhai, the son of Khimjibhai at Narayanapur. There I saw picture of Hanumanji. I asked him what it was. He did not say anything. We should surrender to Swaminarayana only and not to anyone else. Maharaj is realised by His favour. The muktas are also like Him. The one who takes shelter under them is made happy by them.” Then Swami Ghansyamjivandasji came. He requested Bapasri to keep him in Murti. Bapasri said, “If you are kept outside Murti then?” He said, “No, please keep me in Murti.” Then Bapasri said, “Would you not feel uneasiness, then?” Swami replied that he would not feel uneasiness. Then Bapasri said, “All right Maharaj, I will keep you in Murti. For us whatever is, is here only- just here are Aksardham, Murti, mukta and everything. Do not think that they are elsewhere. Everything is here.” After this talk, Bapasri went for darsan and then met all.
Then Swami Isvarcharanadasji asked, “What is the remedy by which the happiness and joy from Murti go on increasing?” Bapasri replied, “For getting ever-increasing happiness and joy one should remain engrossed in Murti. This Bava, i.e., Isvarcharanadasji wants to completely describe the greatness of God. But even if you make pens from branches of all trees, make ink from water of seven seas, and if all these pens get worn out, and the ink is exhausted even then the greatness of Maharaj remains underdescribed. Such divine is Murti; it is limitless and no one can find its bounds.” Swami Isvarcharanadasji said, “Bapa! If you wish I will describe the greatness.” Bapasri was very much pleased and putting his hands on Swami’s head said, “Of course, you may write. Great saints have written many volumes about divinge actions, grandeur, supernatural powers and His greatness, etc. Even then who is capable to describe the greatness of Maharaj? Maharaj Himself says that even He is unable to find the bounds of His greatness. Then how can others find His bounds? Such is causal Murti and all are happy because of the causal Murti. Maharaj has accomplished us. Every village has temple and wherever I go I feel that the love of the devotees is abundant. Remember when we had gone to village Meda. What a love of devotees of that village we experienced! When we left that village after pleasing all, all devotees accompanied us a long distance to send us off. They would not return even when I asked them. Then finally, I told them to return. Then they stood there for a long time- such was their love. The one who knows the greatness of Maharaj and muktas will always have such love.” Then Bapasri turned to Swami and said to him, “Your efforts are much. You go from village to village and tell the devotees about the greatness and happiness of Maharaj, so whole Satsang has become joyful. Saints like you following the norms of dharma are unique- you are such.” Saying so Bapasri showed his pleasure.
On the next day Bapasri was pleased with saints viz. Swami Vrndavandasji, Swami Isvarcharanadasji, Swami Ghansyamjivandasji and said, “The devotees of Gujarat remember you. What will you do to appease them? I have shortage of such saints here. I want this type of assembly constantly. This region is fortunate that such saints give darsan at our place.” Swami Vrndavandasji said, “Bapa! This is all because of your grace. You have made the whole Satsang happy. So, all are drawn towards this place. This time you have made happiness of Maharaj very easy.” Bapasri said, “All right. Now go to Gujarat and make devotees happy and come back when I call you. Though I have shortage of saints here, I have also to take care of love of devotees.” Thus, it knowing the wish of Bapasri Swami Vrndavandasji, Swami Ghansyamjivandasji, Swami Isvarcharanadasji, Muktavallabhdasji, Svetvaikunthdasji, Devjivandasji and Asabhai, etc. pleased Bapasri and got ready to go to Gujarat. At that time Bapasri met all and putting his hands on their heads said, “Remain engrossed in Murti as you have been. I am always with you.” After giving such blessing, he sent them off. Then the saints stayed at Bhuj for two days and then went to Gujarat. || 30 ||
