On the evening of Bhadarva Vad 11th, Swami Ishwarcharandasji asked a question in the assembly. In the 2nd Vachanamrut of Vartal it has been said that God is black or yellow or long or short personified or impersonal. How should one understand black, yellow, etc.?” Bapashri said, “The one who knows Him as Mul-Purush, master of Prakruti, is said to have known him as black because he has relationship with illusion (maya) so he knows only that much greatness of His. Therefore he has known Him as black, and one who knows Him as Brahm and Mul-Akshar he is said to have known Him as yellow. Because though he has no relationship with illusion, he is dependent before Maharaj. If one knows Him -Shriji Maharaj as divine personified he knows Him as personified (sakar) and if he knows Him without form he has known Him as impersonal (nirakar) and if he knows Him omnipresent he knows Him as long and if he knows Him as confined to one place, he knows Him as short. Thus, scripture were unable to know Shriji Maharaj. || 112 ||
