In the Samvat year 1967, in the month of Fagan Swami Vrundavandasji, Swami Ghansyamjivandasji, Swami Ishwarcharandasji, etc and devotees like Pranjivanbhai etc. of Amdavad and saints of Muli, devotees of Zalawad all had gone to Kutch region. On Fagan Sud 13th , they went to Vrushpur via Bhuj, and there on Fagan Sud 15th Bapashri had arranged parayan of Vachanamrut. It was over after seven days. Then devotees from other places went to their respective villages. Some of the saints and devotees stayed back and during their stay, Bapashri gave discourses, which are as under.

On the morning of Fagan Vad 7th, the 61st Vachanamrut of the First Chapter of Gadhada was being read. In it, it is said that when atmanishtha (faith in self) becomes very firm, his patience will not become unsteady. Then Bapashri said, “The one does not have atmanishtha and if Maharaj and Muktas send him in trance, he will be afraid like Ladkibai when he sees mass of luminescence. He will afraid like a child who is afraid when it hears thunder in rainy season. The self-realized one does not face any hurdle on the path of meditation. For him there is only transcendental Murti and for the one whom treads on the path of trance (Samadhi) pranav (oum) and nad (sound coming from navel) are hurdles. Parvatbhai used to tell Mayaram Bhatt that state of turya (deep state achieved in meditation) and causal body are closed to the abode of Shriji Maharaj. Why are you hammering the talk of state of Turya and causal body keeping aside Murti it self? Bapashri said that he had seen the state of turya which comes on the way to Akshardham so it has no value. Everything is imperfect without the Murti of Shriji Maharaj. Pranav and nad also stems from the thumb of Mul-Purush and it is all the work of Mul-Purush. Therefore do not remember it because it bears fruit (sakam). For the self realized one, the properly understood words coming from the mouth of Shriji Maharaj and Muktas are pranav and nad and they do not bear fruit (nishkam). Those who are introvert are attached to Murti in all three states. The path of trance is fascinating but there is hurdle in it. This path is all right for the seekers but for Ekantik trance (Samadhi) is not useful. The capacity of the Jiva is small. But glory of Maharaj is boundless how can it know? If glory of Maharaj is known the burden of means will not remain; if it is not known burden of means like jap, penance, renunciation, non attachment, etc will be felt. Just as the burden of tiffin will be felt till not emptied and after eating, the burden of tiffin will not be felt. (Before eating thoughts to eat are there and afterwards thoughts for eating disappear). Similarly the one who has knowledge of glory of Mahaprabhuji is having firm determination of Maharaj. He dives in the ocean in the form of happiness of Maharaj’s Murti and he does not face any hurdle. Those having burden of means may acquire some one’s fault. He may also face bad time, and adversity in hometown. That will bring a big hurdle on the path of salvation and all means which he has done become void. Therefore means are like borrowed ornaments and some one will also take them away. Therefore burden of means should not be kept. We should stand with folded hand before Muktas by giving up deceitfulness and understanding the glory of Muktas and Maharaj. Then will make us as they are by removing our faults. Maharaj and Muktas will not be pleased with him who disobeys commands of Maharaj; moreover, it will not be good for him. Therefore means should be such as to please Maharaj and Muktas. We should give up those means which are liked by our mind, and should obey Mahaprabhuji and great Muktas. Those who have recently become saints and if they follow rules of religion and have attachment for Shriji Maharaj, even one should remain as servant of servant, and should follow God and saints with full faith. If he does not have full faith in God and great saints and in scriptures written by them and if he become saint, he should not be known as devotee because he is in satsang for honour, fame, for eating-drinking etc. The one who has full faith in satsang should be known as devotee. || 90 ||
